Install new fonts

KDE Linux includes an intentionally minimal set of fonts. Follow either of the following approaches to get more:

From System Settings

Easiest, but with a limited set of available fonts.

  1. Open System Settings and navigate to Text & Fonts > Font Management.
  2. Click the Get New Fonts… button.
  3. Locate the desired fonts in the dialog window that appears and click on their Install buttons.

Manually

More work, but supports almost any font you can find.

  1. Acquire the font files from any sources. Websites, a local administrator, etc.
  2. Locate the font files and double-click them.
  3. When prompted for a location to install them, choose User. KDE Linux does not support systemwide font installation right now.
