STUTTGART, SEPTEMBER 4TH, 1998 delix is pleased to announce the German Linux Distribution - DLD 5.4 1 with K Desktop Environment KDE 1.0 as standard desktop. KDE is fully preconfigured and has lots of multimedia-extensions. KDE as a very user-friendly Desktop Environment gives our customers the convenience, they are accustomed from other operating systems. KDE makes it easier to change completely from other operating systems to Linux. A Server-mirror of the KDE homepage and a selected HDE FTP-mirror including a snapshot of KOffice is also included in DLD 5.41

KDE included in SuSE Linux Announcements

OAKLAND, CALIF & FUERTH, GERMANY (July 29, 1998) - S.u.S.E., Inc., in conjunction with S.u.S.E., GMBH, announced the inclusion of the KDE desktop environment in S.u.S.E. Linux 5.3, scheduled for release in Germany on August 3. The international release of the English version is scheduled for August 20, with Italian and French versions following in early September.

KDE Announces Support Of KDE Technology

 Caldera hosts official U.S. FTP site for KDE 

 OREM, UT - July 16, 1998 - Caldera®, Inc. today announced the adoption and support of KDE technology. Caldera will include the K Desktop Environment in the OpenLinux 1.2.2 maintenance release due out the end of September. KDE will be the default desktop in the Caldera OpenLinux 2.0 product, scheduled for release the fourth quarter of this year.
