Binary packages
Some Linux/UNIX OS vendors have kindly provided binary packages of KDE SC 4.6.2 for some versions of their distribution, and in other cases community volunteers have done so.
Currently pre-compiled packages are available for:
- Fedora KDE 4.6.2 packages are available:
- FreeBSD KDE 4.6.2 ports are available in area51. Please check the KDE on FreeBSD website for more information on how to use ports from area51.
- Gentoo Linux provides KDE SC 4.6.2 packages in main repository.

- openSUSE packages are available for openSUSE 11.4 (one-click install), for openSUSE 11.3 (one-click install), and openSUSE Factory (one-click install). A KDE Four Live CD with these packages is also available.
