- Konqueror in KDE SC versions up to and including 4.6.1 have a cross-site scripting error that can be exploited to cause a user to be redirected to a malicious site. Read the detailed advisory for more information.

Binary packages
Some Linux/UNIX OS vendors have kindly provided binary packages of KDE SC 4.6.0 for some versions of their distribution, and in other cases community volunteers have done so.
Currently pre-compiled packages are available for:
- Fedora KDE 4.6.0 packages are available:
- Rawhide development repository
- Fedora 15 will ship with this version
- Unofficial Fedora 14 packages are hosted at the kde-redhat project.
- FreeBSD KDE 4.6.0 ports are available in area51. Please check the KDE on FreeBSD website for more information on how to use ports from area51.
- Gentoo Linux provides KDE SC 4.6.0 packages in main repository.

- Mandriva provide packages for 2010.1 i586 2010.1 x86_64
- openSUSE packages are available for openSUSE 11.3 (one-click install), for openSUSE 11.2 (one-click install), and openSUSE Factory (one-click install). A KDE Four Live CD with these packages is also available.
- Solaris KDE 4.6.0 packages for Solaris 11 Express and OpenIndiana are available from the repository of the kde-solaris project. See also the announcement.
