Getting Started with KDE

Keeping in Touch With Mailing Lists

Mailing lists are a way for large groups of people to keep in touch. It works like an email contact group and to subscribe, you give your email address to the server. You can then send mail to that distribution address and it will go to everyone who is subscribed.

Set it up

To subscribe to some lists, visit: http://www.kde.org/mailinglists/

Connecting

You will need an IRC client to connect to the network. If you have KDE, ksirc or konversation may be include with your distribution. For Windows, mIrc is the way to go.

Keep it Classy

Since mailing lists send message to a large group of people, you will want to observe a special ettiquite when sending messages. Basic help about this is at the Mailing List Etiquette FAQ. Also see How To Ask Questions The Smart Way.
